Tromsø is one of Norway’s ideal destinations for northern lights expeditions, thanks to it being perfectly embedded in the centre of the aurora zone. Enrol in Arctic Explorers’ northern lights chase and set out on an adventurous journey to try to find the aurora lights dancing in the sky.
The tour begins next to Scandic Ishavshotel, where participants must arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Your ride for the evening is a comfortable bus or car, depending on the number of participants. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide who is well-versed with the best viewing sites across Troms county. Once all passengers have hopped onboard, you will embark on a thrilling aurora chase.
This northern lights trip includes dramatic landscapes, along breathtaking fjords, and past lofty mountains.
The drop-off will be between 1:00-2:00 am between 1:00-2:00 am, but it can be later if needed to optimize the chances to see the aurora.
The tour is suitable for both adults and children.

Bring snacks and food to munch on during the trip, and don’t forget to carry your passport. Participants must dress in warm and windproof clothes, including woollen undergarments. Bring warm shoes, a thick sweater or jacket, a scarf, windproof mittens, a warm hat, and woollen socks. If you’re planning to bring a good-quality camera, it is recommended to also bring a tripod.

Additional Information
Normally up to 48 guests, but some tours will be up to 55 guests per group. We can take bigger private groups on request.
We will do this tour in a minibus or a car, if 15 guests or less, then without toilet in the bus, but with other benefits not available on our big bus tour.
