King Crab Safari by RIB in Kirkenes – Departure 09:30

Your day begins with pickup from your hotel in Kirkenes and a short transfer to the Snow Resort Kirkenes base. Here, your guide equips you with warm flotation suits and safety gear before you board the high-speed RIB (rigid inflatable boat). Cruise out onto the Barents Sea to reach the king crab fishing grounds.

Together with your guide, you’ll pull up the heavy traps and see these impressive creatures up close. Learn about the life of the red king crab and its journey from the icy depths to your plate.

Back at the Snow Resort Kirkenes restaurant, your freshly caught crab is prepared and served the traditional way – with bread, butter, mayonnaise, and lemon. Drinks such as wine or beer are available for purchase. After your meal, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Kirkenes, ending your morning with a true taste of the Arctic.
