Join a Northern Lights tour from Tromsø led by a French-speaking guide. Enjoy a traditional campfire, local meal, warm drinks, and professional photos in a peaceful Arctic setting.
Spend an evening in the Arctic wilderness chasing the Northern Lights on this guided tour from Tromsø. Meet in the city center for a short Aurora presentation and a safety briefing before heading out in a comfortable minibus.
Your French-speaking guide will drive you to the best available spot based on weather forecasts and solar activity. Once there, a traditional Norwegian campfire will be set up with reindeer hides, far from artificial light. Hot drinks and a light local meal will be served as your guide shares stories and insights about the Northern Lights.
Thermal suits and tripods are provided to ensure a comfortable and photo-friendly experience. Your guide, who is also a skilled photographer, will take portraits of you under the Arctic sky (weather permitting) and help you take your own shots.
This eco-conscious tour uses reusable cups, plastic-free food wraps, and leaves no trace behind—except in the snow.
Meeting point: Northern Norway Travel Shop at Tromsø Havn Prostneset, 5:45 PM.
Dress warmly in layers: wool base layers, winter coat, hat, gloves, and warm boots.
Bring a reusable water bottle, camera, and ID/passport (in case the tour crosses into Finland).
A short walk to the campfire location may be required. Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. Minimum 5 participants required for the tour to run.
